Amniotic Antidote | Performed by Oblivion | REAKTOR Potenziale 2021

The immersive performance installation Amniotic Antidote leads visitors into a distorted mirror of a sanatorium. Intertwined into a fantastic amalgam of science and emotion, the dystopic universe explored questions of social alienation and isolation while searching for possible cures. The iconographic leitmotif of water—appearing in mythology and in modern models of the world as the origin of life and a medium for cleansing—permeated the installation, exemplifying the concept’s fluidity. The project was selected from 235 submissions by artists from over 50 countries for REAKTOR Potenziale’s third call for proposals. It was developed and performed in collaboration with Zosia Hulobowska (Poland).
