Nandini, a wealthy married, young woman living in luxury, in urban contemporary Calcutta, has a sophisticated lifestyle, attending high end art shows, and tea parties , travelling in Ferraris , owned by her husband who is always travelling round the world. It is about her soul searching and journey in trying to find something beyond her pretentious, superficial, materialistic existence. This is triggered off by a sudden encounter she has with a photographer at an art gallery who comes from a humbler background and who is shocked at her ignorance of the world around her, which is limited. Nandini ultimately connects with her roots and finds herself, rediscovering her individuality through Calcutta, which she looks at properly for the first time with the help of some friends. The beauty of the city is explored through her eyes, and in the end she has embarked on her own journey. (Text: Talking of Michelangelo)
