The mother-daughter duo Sylvia & Johanna Bruckner combine live music and media art - complemented by Ruth Bruckner as co-composer and by the dancer Robie Legros. "The aesthetics of the practices relevant to the pieces are derived, among other things, from the realm of quantum physics. The focus of the sound performance is the idea of quantum physical obfuscation: in the works, sound, body and image break and touch each other and are continually recreated, reassembled and activated through their network of relationships. At the same time, a kind of intimacy, affectivity and kinship of multi-layered ideas is evoked that can be described as deconstructive, collaborative and performative. Bruckner, Bruckner & Bruckner are interested in the molecular action capabilities of sound as a virtual material that is inherently rearranged and that continually brings itself into unruly corpo-materialities of merging aggregate states."
